Transponders (The gadget that helps count your lap times)

New Transponders options for Glasgow’s RC2 timing system:-

MYLAPS 'Harry' (2 wire) - Work at virtually every UK track including Glasgow. They are more expensive than other options but you are guaranteed a unique number.

MRT PTX/mPTX/mPTX Pro - Work at virtually every UK track including Glasgow. They are much cheaper, but you don’t get a guaranteed unique number. These are most popular at Glasgow and usually available to purchase from the club trackside shop.

Purchase your own transponder here - https://atomfire.com/collections/transponders

MYLAPS 'Purcy' (3 wire) – DON’T work at Glasgow, Ulverston, Durham, South Lakes, Southport, Telford and other clubs with RC2 or RC3 timing.

Borrow A Transponder
If you don’t have a transponder or you have a 3 wire transponder, Glasgow do have a small amount of loan transponders, that can be requested before a meeting and work with Glasgow's RC2 timing system.

I don’t know of any UK clubs that have the latest v4.5 or newer firmware on their timing system. In some bigger events we may borrow another clubs RC4 decoder which will work with the majority of transponders. Any questions just ask!
